Mall of Emirates

The Mall of the Emirates is located in the heart of Dubai and is also a huge shopping center. It contains over 700 stores, including luxury brands, restaurants and even a movie theater and bowling alley. An outstanding feature is the adjacent Ski Dubai. This mall is also connected to the famous Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, so this place has it all: Shopping, dining and entertainment.

Our rating and recommendation: The Mall of the Emirates is a stylish shopping center that is particularly known for its variety in the luxury segment. We recommend taking a break, enjoying a coffee and experiencing the sunlight streaming in under the dome. This area also offers a wonderful photo spot.

Dubai Frame

The Dubai Frame is a striking architectural landmark in Dubai. With two 150-metre-high towers connected by a 93-metre-long bridge, it symbolizes the connection between the traditional and modern sides of the city. The viewing platform offers spectacular panoramic views of the Dubai skyline. Inside, it houses a museum that shows the development of the city from a fishing village to a modern metropolis. The Dubai Frame is an impressive attraction that combines architecture and history.

Our assessment and recommendation: It’s worth a visit, and not just because of the stunning view. The admission price of 13 euros is also moderate.

Aquaventure Waterpark

Aquaventure Waterpark is a large water park in the Atlantis resort. The park offers exciting water slides, pools and attractions, including the famous “Leap of Faith”. It is rightly one of the most popular travel destinations in Dubai.

Our assessment and recommendation: The water park leaves nothing to be desired for us. It is important to consider the height restrictions in advance so that children are not disappointed. (Tickets are available from 80 euros)

Aquarium & Underwater Zoo

It’s hard to imagine the huge aquarium in the Dubai Mall. The marine aquarium is a 10-million-liter tank with more than 30,000 aquatic animals, including sand tiger sharks. Some of its features:

1st **Main aquarium:** The center of the aquarium is a huge acrylic tank that houses a wide variety of marine life, including sharks, rays, fish and other species.

2 **Underwater zoo:** The underwater zoo is an extension of the aquarium and offers various themed areas with different types of sea creatures. There are interactive exhibits and informative displays about marine habitats.

3 **Tunnel:** A highlight of the aquarium is the transparent tunnel that runs through the main aquarium. Visitors can pass through the tunnel and are surrounded on all sides by a fascinating variety of marine life.

Our assessment and recommendation: The fact that the aquarium is located in the Dubai Mall allows for an ideal symbiosis according to the motto “happy wife, happy children”. While mom enjoys shopping, dad dives into the depths of the sea with his children without getting wet to experience an incredible variety of exotic things. Bet that mom will postpone shopping next time in favor of the zoo.

Dubai Museum

The Dubai Museum is located in the Al Fahidi Fort and presents the history and development of Dubai. With exhibits, artifacts and multimedia presentations, it offers insights into the traditional way of life, culture and development of the city. The fort itself is a historic building from the 18th century and gives this exhibition an authentic atmosphere.

Our assessment and recommendation: A visit is not only worthwhile for those interested in culture. However, the entertainment value is too low for smaller children. Combining this with a tour of the souks is an obvious choice.

IMG World of Adventure

IMG Worlds of Adventure is one of the world’s largest indoor theme parks and a flagship of Dubai. More than 20,000 visitors a day, all year round, and construction costs of more than one billion US dollars speak for themselves. With five themed areas, including Marvel and Cartoon Network, the park offers exciting rides and attractions that shake everyone up, mostly in a positive sense. Thanks to its air-conditioned surroundings, this “adventure world” can also be visited on hot days.

Our rating and recommendation: It is a fun, varied indoor amusement park that is especially enjoyable during the hot summer months as it is air-conditioned.

The Lost Chambers Aquarium

The Lost Chambers Aquarium at the majestic Atlantis Hotel at The Palm Resorts in Dubai is part of Atlantis, the famous sunken mythical city. The aquarium presents the legend through recreated sunken ruins and is home to an impressive variety of marine life, including sharks and rays. Visitors can enjoy interactive experiences and shows in the aqua theater within 30 to 60 minutes. It is therefore no coincidence that it is a popular destination for tourists.

Our assessment and recommendation: The aquarium is relatively small, but the bright colors due to the special play of light, the tropical fish with special specimens such as the moray eels fascinate us again and again. Due to the relatively short duration, a visit with another attraction at the Atlantis Hotel is recommended.

Wild Wadi Water Park

Wild Wadi Water Park is a popular water park in Dubai with exciting water slides, pools and a wave pool. Its location near the Burj Al Arab and the impressive view make it a very popular attraction for families and adventure seekers. In addition to spectacular water slides and a surfing machine, the park also offers a children’s play area.

Our assessment and recommendation: The ideal location in the city makes it possible to aim for another destination. Conversely, the Wild Wadi Water Park invites nature lovers in particular to linger all day. The fusion of the plant world with the buildings, which imitate medieval Arab architecture, is a feast for the eyes.

Dubai Parks and Resorts

Dubai Parks and Resorts is a comprehensive leisure and entertainment complex in Dubai. It comprises several theme parks and accordingly has many destinations that offer a variety of entertainment. Whether big or small, everyone will find something here, which is why families in particular feel at home here. The most famous destinations of Dubai Parks and Resorts are:

1st **Motiongate Dubai:** A theme park that focuses on Hollywood movies and popular animations. It offers rides such as a swing boat, carousel, Ferris wheel and roller coaster as well as attractions based on well-known films and characters.

2 **Legoland Dubai:** A theme park specially designed for families and children, based on the imaginative Lego building blocks. Rides, shows and interactive areas can be found here.

3 **Legoland Water Park:** A water park, part of Legoland Dubai, is specially designed for families with children.

Our assessment and recommendation: We can highly recommend a visit to one of these theme parks. However, time can be an obstacle, because the tempting offer is overwhelming. Consideration should therefore be given to extending the visit to two days. Children in particular enjoy a night in the Park Hotels. It’s worth comparing prices and looking out for attractive combined offers.
