These cookies collect information over time about your online activities on the Website and other online services to make online advertising more relevant and effective for you. This is called interest-based advertising. They also perform functions such as preventing the same ad from appearing over and over again, and ensuring that ads are displayed correctly for advertisers. Without cookies, it is very difficult for an advertiser to reach their audience or know how many ads were shown and how many clicks they received.
Cookies
Custours uses “cookies” to identify the areas of our website that you have visited. A cookie is a small record that is stored by your web browser on your computer or mobile device. You should also be aware that you may lose some stored information (e.g. saved login credentials, website settings) if you block cookies in your browser. Different browsers provide you with different control options. If you disable a cookie or cookie category, the cookie will not be deleted from your browser; you must do this yourself in your browser; for more information, see your browser’s help menu.

We use remarketing services. What is remarketing? In digital marketing, remarketing (or retargeting) means serving ads on the Internet to people who have already visited your website. If you are a parent or guardian and know that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us. Changes to our privacy policy
We may change our service and policies, and we may need to make changes to this Privacy Policy to ensure that it accurately reflects our service and policies. Unless otherwise required by law, we will notify you (e.g., through our Service) before we make changes to this Privacy Policy and give you an opportunity to review them before they become effective. If you then continue to use the Service, you will be bound by the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not wish to agree to this or any updated privacy policy, you may delete your account.

Information on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), we may collect and use information from you. In this section of our Privacy Policy, we explain exactly how and why this information is collected and how we protect this information from duplication or misuse.
What is GDPR?
GDPR is an EU-wide privacy and data protection law that regulates how EU residents’ data is protected by companies and enhances the control the EU residents have, over their personal data.
The GDPR is relevant to any globally operating company and not just the EU-based businesses and EU residents. Our customers’ data is important irrespective of where they are located, which is why we have implemented GDPR controls as our baseline standard for all our operations worldwide.
What is personal data?
Any data relating to an identifiable or identified individual. The General Data Protection Regulation covers a wide range of information that can be used alone or in combination with other information to identify an individual. Personal data goes beyond a person’s name or email address. Some examples include financial information, political opinions, genetic data, biometric data, IP addresses, physical addresses, sexual orientation, and ethnicity.
The privacy principles include requirements such as:
- Personal data collected must be processed in a fair, lawful and transparent manner and should only be used in a way that an individual would reasonably expect.
- Personal data should be collected only for a specific purpose and used only for that purpose. Organizations must specify what they need the personal information for when they collect it.
- Personal data should not be kept longer than is necessary to fulfill the purpose.
- Individuals covered by the General Data Protection Regulation have the right to access their own personal data. They may also request a copy of their information and request that their information be updated, deleted, restricted, or transferred to another organization.
Why is GDPR important?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) brings some new requirements in terms of how companies should protect personal data they collect and process. It also increases compliance requirements by tightening enforcement and imposing higher fines for violations. Those facts aside, it’s easy to do the right thing. At Custours, we strongly believe that protecting your privacy is very important, and we already have sound security and privacy practices in place that go beyond the requirements of this new regulation.
Rights of the data subject – access, portability and deletion of data
We are committed to helping our customers comply with the GDPR’s data subject rights requirements. Custours processes or stores all personal data with fully vetted, DPA-compliant providers. We store all conversation and personal data for up to 6 years unless your account is deleted. In this case, we will dispose of all data in accordance with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, but will not retain it for more than 60 days.
We understand that when you work with EU customers, you must provide them with the ability to access, update, retrieve and delete personal data. We have you! We were designed for self-service from the beginning and have always given you access to your data and that of your customers. Our customer support team is here to answer any questions you may have about working with the API.
